Booking Policy – Guided Tours – Femund Canoe Camp – 23.12.2023
Thank you for choosing Femund Canoe Camp for your guided canoe tour in Norway. To ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for all participants, please read and adhere to the following booking policy:
1. Reservation and Payment:
To secure your booking, a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total tour cost is required at the time of reservation.
The remaining balance must be paid no later than 60 days before the scheduled tour date.
2. Cancellation by the Participant:
Cancellations made more than 45 days before the tour starting date will receive a 70% refund (excluding the non-refundable deposit).
Cancellations made within 45 days of the tour starting date are non-refundable.
3. Cancellation by Femund Canoe Camp
Femund Canoe Camp has the right to cancel a tour, especially if the number of registrations is less than the published number in the program.
In the event of any changes or tour cancellations, you will be notified by us at least 45 days in advance.
In the case of cancellation by Femund Canoe Camp, the full amount including the deposit will be refunded.
Femund Canoe Camp cannot be held liable for any damages suffered by a participant in case of cancellation.
4. Age, Fitness, Experience and Skills:
Participants must be between 18 and 65 years of age.
During the tour you will be active for several hours each day, so it is important to have decent fitness.
No extensive prior outdoor experience is required for this tour.
The spoken language during the tour will be English, so basic knowledge of English is essential.
5. Health and Safety:
Participants must inform Femund Canoe Camp of any pre-existing medical conditions, allergies, or other relevant health information.
Participants are required to follow the instructions of the tour guide and adhere to safety guidelines at all times.
The tour guide may, based on their own assessment, deny participants participation in an entire activity or certain parts of it.
6. Program Changes:
Tours are subject to weather conditions.
Femund Canoe Camp reserves the right to modify or cancel parts of the tour in the event of adverse weather or due to other safety reasons.
In case of changes during the tour due to the weather conditions or other safety reasons, no refund is offered.
7. Equipment and Damages:
Participants are responsible for the proper use and care of all equipment provided by Femund Canoe Camp.
Any damage to equipment beyond normal wear and tear may result in additional charges.
8. Exclusion of Liability:
Participants must be aware that the expedition involve risks and must sign a risk acceptance form before starting.
Femund Canoe Camp excludes any liability for personal injury and damage to the participant's property.
9. Insurance:
Participants are strongly encouraged to have personal travel insurance that covers tour cancellations, medical emergencies, and equipment loss or damage.
10. Compliance with Laws:
Participants must comply with all relevant laws and regulations during the tour.
11. Photography and Marketing:
Femund Canoe Camp reserves the right to use photographs or videos taken during the tour for promotional purposes unless otherwise specified by participants.
By booking a tour with Femund Canoe Camp, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by this booking policy.
