Femund Canoe Camp was established in 1974 by the two Swedish founders Morgan Nilsson and Bengt Magnusson. The company has successfully been run by Bengt Magnusson and his family for the last 45 years. From 2015 Bengt’s oldest daughter Karin Magnusson and her partner Rick Noordink are running the business. Femund Canoe Camp is usually open from June to August, employing 2-7 local wildlife experts.

 
 

Femund Canoe Camp is located in Sorken next to the quietly running river Sorka, 12 km North of Drevsjø in Engerdal municipality, South-Eastern Norway. The camp site is 26 decare with cabins, shelters, toilets and showers and has been the base and starting point for thousands of enthusiastic adventurers throughout the years. Caravans are not allowed, ensuring a quiet and peaceful camping environment.

The main activities of Femund Canoe Camp are support and guidance of canoeing, hiking and fishing trips in the Femund area. The canoeing activity is centered around the main building leaving plenty of space for guests to find their own hidden tenting spot along the wooded, protected riverside’s of Sorka.  Femund Canoe Camp has a wide range of equipment for rental and can provide everything needed for a canoe trip including food.
