Catch the big fish in wild, wonderful nature!

The lakes around Lake Fjellgutusjøen, which are located about 15km north of Femund Canoe Camp, are perfect for fishing, and for combining paddling and fishing with hikes to different mountains. Carry the canoe between the waters that are located at different altitudes east of the road (Fjellgutusjøen) and west of the road (Storsjøen, Djupsjøen, Hammarsjøen).

These are all small fishing waters with wonderful views to the very nearby located mountains (e.g. Herbensen, Storsjøberget, Båthusberget), and you may also visit other even smaller fishing waters that cannot be reached with canoe. All inland fish species can be found in these waters. We have some experienced fishers in the FCC team, who will guide you on where and how to catch what you want. Fishing licence and fishing maps can be obtained at Femund Canoe Camp.

And why not make a visit to Gutulia National Park. Gutulia is the tiniest national park of Norway! The park, which is centered around Lake Gutulisjøen is known for its native forests and for the former summer houses for local farmers, “Gutulisetra”.

Bring the canoe there on your car’s rooftop, or let us arrange the transport.
